Thanks, I am quite fond of him; and by the way your dumeril's probably would mind if you colored its tail red. Plus, talk about confusing when it sheds and then notices that its tail is no longer red. Red one day, normal the next.

Thanks! He was 11 foot 5 inches and 28 pounds as of 01/21/07. I'm sure he has grown a little since then. He just finished shedding two weeks ago. He eats 3-4 pound rabbits ever 3 weeks.

Glad I was an inspiration. Very nice pictures. My female retic gets really excited over her feeding time...so I don't believe she'll ever be that gentle towards feeding time...lol

I don't have an exact age because he came from my brother in law, who only had him for a few months[was forced to sell him because he moved], and who bought him from a pet store in Salt Lake City and I don't know where the trail goes from there. I have had him for almost a year so to make a long story short I guestimate he is at least 3 years. LOL.
And Thanks again SSReptiles for the inspiration. I was very hesitant to get him because of all the very large snake concerns, but I knew him well from his time with my brother in law and he was just so calm. Inquisitive? Most definitely yes, but very calm/docile. Which makes all the difference in the world when you are dealing with a very large, strong, individually minded creature.

Yes very big difference in even a slightly nervous snake to a tame one. Nice Tic again. I may eventually own something that will get large but for now im happy with anything that stays under 10'.

What dimensions should a cage be for a snake this big? What do you use for a hide, an old VW bug?
