Post Uroplatus Phantasticus

I've been reading about this species of leaf tailed gecko for a bit now, and was wondering if anyone could recommend some sites or persons I could purchase a pair from? I know most are WC, but CBB would be preferred. Any advice you could give would be appreciated.

Re: Uroplatus Phantasticus

Man those geckos are gorgeous. I'll get some leaf-tails some day, but I dont have the time for them now. I can't recommend any breeders or anything, but good luck!

Re: Uroplatus Phantasticus

Aw. Do you know of anyone else that has them Owen, or maybe who he got them from in the first place? A breeding project with them sounds fantastic if I can ever get my hands on a pair.

Re: Uroplatus Phantasticus

Very cool geckos and very hard to take care of. They are not very forgiving when it comes to mistakes to husbandry. They up and die for no reason, usually they are WC and full of parasites and whatnot. If you can find CB or LTC get them they will be worth the extra. Also if you are looking into breeding they are very hard to raise the hatchlings up and keep them alive, thats if you can even get the eggs to hatch in the first place. If you do not have a lot and I mean a LOT of experience in geckos I would not get them. Thats my .02

I have 40+ geckos and Im not even ready to get some if that tells ya something

Re: Uroplatus Phantasticus

I've had geckos before, and I've been researching this species endlessly for months. What exactly is so tough, except for the WC probabilties and high humidity? Breeding is really something I'm looking forward to - trust me, my attention is going to be very focused on such a delicate species.

I'd love to hear anything you can tell me about them.
