Unfortunately you may have been taken advantage of. Another possibility is that you were sold a BCC of unknown origin in which the seller just stuck a generic "central American B.c.c." label on it. More accurate would have been south American B.c.c. in which a more defined locality was unavailable. One thing you may do is post a picture of your animal and let the more exp forum members give you their opinion as to what sub species it may be. Also, if this animal is to be a pet dont worry about it much as long as your happy with your animal, it's healthy, and it has a pleasant disposition. I would however take the animal to a vet(as you should do with all new additions) and let him/her give it a look and make sure everything get's off on the right track. Good luck and enjoy your new boa.

Yepper, TME nailed it, a vet trip is never a bad idea with a new critter, and a picture would help out a heck of a lot.
In case i Havent already said it, Welcome to the site TME
