I've had Ted since April. Bill since July and the baby for a few weeks. I'm just wondering about their patterns on their stomachs. I can't remember if Ted had any, but he now has patterns of black. Bill also has the same and is about 4 months old. The baby is all white on his tum-tum and is only about 2 months old. Will it stay all white or develop some type of pattern? Just wondering. The dorsal pattern only gets bigger in terms of patterns.

Black patterns on his stomach?? Dunno, mine have no patterns on their stomachs. Could it be possible he has scale rot or dirt on his belly, or is it just a pattern??? If it is just a new pattern please post pics, I've never seen that before.........

Nope, not scale rot or dirt. I just can't remember if Ted had any when I first got him. It's basically portions of his ventral scales are black, like dots of black here and there. Bill has the same, but less pronounced, but then again, he's only 4 months old. The baby has an all white tum-tum.

I have 1.1 bci's, right at a year old, and their bellies are................cream colored with black patterns. they are perfectly healthy, and the other boa I had, a 1.0 bci, at 3 yrs old also had this. So I'm thinking NORMAL. Hope this helps.

sooooooo.....is "freckling" (I like that term) something that develops as they get older? I just like the way the baby looks with a very pink body and a white tum-tum. Just kinda hoping he/she stays that way.

No, the freckling they are born with is what they'll keep. Personally, I like little to no freckling. What is everybody else's preference? -Juggalo

I kinda like the freckles. Makes them unique, as no two are alike.
