Can't find the Snaketracker Program post..

Either I can not find it or someone deleted it for some reason.. The recent post thread in regards to herp tracking programs. I got the screen shots of it np anyways, BUT was going to look into the other program that a member had listed in that thread also. Anyone delete this or know where to find it at all ? BTW.. Search thing didn't pull this one up at all..WHich is why i beleive it has been deleted.....

In the aftermath of the KLG Venomoid thread...I deleted what looked to be a surging flame war between Lori and JRiley building up. One of those goose and gander things I suppose. What you saw was a post made by jriley trying to start a flame against this site. I edited out his post and also asked him to take the matter into email, pm or the like if he wanted to continue with it. His post btw was in the context of a &quot;direct&quot; attack on this site and admin action[s] which , apparent by his venue of his posting, had/has an issue with. That sort of thing will NOT be tolerated on this site at all. It is against our TOS, not to mention common sense.

Any admin should have done the same in editing that post. It was an admin thing and of no personal venue of action relative to that post edit. Trying to start &quot;flame&quot; on the site is NOT allowed, never has been either. That is why j's post was edited out. His commentary in the thread was of a direct nature to try and start a flame thing and also to downgrade/bash the site as well.
The EXACT wording of the edit was this...

That should have been the end of the &quot;issue&quot; that J seemed to be striving for in his posting on that thread. That is/was the same thing that would have been placed in edit for ANY member of this site by an admin that was trying to stop the attempt at a flame in a post/thread. jriley has no reason to be treated in a different and/or special manner than any other member of this site at all.
By deleting that thread you also deleted the request for members that have the knowledge to promote a tracking program to come forth if there was someone that could do such and was willing to do such for the site. Also the linking for all the tracking programs that were brought forth were lost as well in that action. Guess all that will have to be reposted on site is all now due to the deletion.
BTW..J was the initiator in the flaming.. I was the one/admin that put a stop to it on that thread. If j doesn't want to be edited for such a thing, then possibly he should conform to the TOS is all. There is no valid reasoning as to why he should/would be receiving &quot;preferential&quot; treatment when he tries to do something like start a flame on the site, by any RTB admin. This is NOT the only thread where he has posted in a manner that is not acceptable. It needs to stop at this time please.

I agree 100% although it appeared to be somewhat instigated to at least some degree. I think that whole topic is a sore spot for the both of you and will always stir up a bit of conflict. I may have acted on impulse but I was just trying to head off an all out and out holy war. I never saw his post that you edited because I came in too late I suppose. But your notation in his deleted post was sure to cause rebuttal that I was fairly sure would just get messier.

As for tracking programs, there are several free ones already out there that anyone can download. I have a couple myself but don't like them...I am more likely to forget to make an entry than I am to forget to feed one of my animals. So I am afraid to rely too heavily on such software....but that's just me and not the point of this discussion.

The point is...You may have been in the right....Jay may have been right. I really don't know all of the details. I have heard both sides directly from you both...I think a lot was misunderstood from both sides in the begining and it caused some conflict. Just try and be understanding that right or wrong the past project blew up and if either side tosses it in the other's face that sparks will fly.

If your refering to jrileys &quot;project&quot; and his being turned down by RTB to become further involved in it from awhile back.... Perhaps jriley should realize that any/all decisions made in regards to that project and RTB's involvement with such were NOT just one person's [me specifically] decision at all. Just because I am the admin someone is dealing with in regards to something on RTB..Does NOT mean that I am the sole decision maker at all. TONS of decisions and/or things that I do in RTB admin are passed by, verified/approved and/or requested by Shane aka natas..this site's owner. NOPE your not being &quot;flamed&quot; to my knowledge and I would hope that j did not have any intentions of promoting a drama scene due to his being edited either. I have heards natas' and lori's side of the story. It all came down to J getting greedy with the whole thing.

Fact of the matter is that whether J was right or Lori was right it doesn't matter, flame is not allowed. Me personally, I am really getting sick of J's stupid and poopyty comments about a lot of things and towards Lori, which I have witnessed in several threads. He tries to be slick about it but it is seriously obvious.
