Not that this is any help, but the error is :
UPDATE nuke_phpbb14_forums SET forum_order = WHERE forum_order = 1
Database error message:
You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'WHERE forum_order = 1' at line 1
It should be UPDATE
SET forum_order = [to a number] WHERE forum_order = 1

Prolly makes more sense to do that Jul's..change the boids to boas. LOL Yeah I don't think many keep the calabar even and they keep tossing it from python to boa from what I hear also anyway. Rainbows I just hadn't gotten to is all in that form yet. Was trying to get that dang program code to co-operate more than it was is all I was basically centering on atm. Then after that was done could go over and change any of the forum titles etc that need to be , like what your suggesting even. Just sems that every time it gets sorted out, one last change to move something where it goes would propmote a whole mess of other problems creeping up then..UGH.
yeah Eddie.. Got that message MANY times while trying to reorder things within the blocks yesterday even. Since you were working on moving them threads I asked Grant to try and move the things into order as I was having no luck with it at that point. Guess he ran into the same thing I was, but now it's a different block that's all over the place..UGH. Hopefully what ya did on the ordering will stay like that when trying to fix any others around then !
Yeah Grant, people/members kept calling those forums useless and not ones that were being utilized much at all and also requested that they disappear possibly.
Morti.. NOT intentional at all ! lol I accessed all the admins here but some couldn't get in for some reason at all. I tried accessing Grant even god no matter what I did he couldn't post in here for some reason. I know that Shane set it up in a way that there's more than one window to do the accessing but I still couldn't get it to let him in. Now, could ya tell us what was missed trying to get the access fully noted then for future reference please ? See that Grant also figured out how to get access in here too now finally ..LOL. What a PITA.
Now to see where it's all at exactly..again...

What about the double forum?
Done on purpose or just overlooked?

I say we let Brett put the squeeze on the rainbow forum move.. my mouse finger is still sore.....

All I had to do was come into this forum, click on the admin pannel, and click on Private forums or whatever it was. Then it had a list of everyone who had access to view and you could change write access from there. Easy as pie.

Oh...a brainstorm on how to reorder the forums...I wrote em all down and figured out the best and most logical order...now I will just delete all the forums and reenter them in the correct order....I'll get right on that!

Question.... why is This Thread in just talk a sticky thread? It is locked and sticky. I think just talk has quite a bit of "Sticky thread clutter" and I was going to un-sticky that one and let it fade into oblivion without actually deleting it. Is that kosher with everyone?

LMAO Morti ! I also knew which one you were talking about without hitting the link first , even with ALL the ones stuck atm on that forum I unstuckied [ umm not a word is it ? ] it though np. AND YES I think Eddie stuck it so i coul;d find it easily.. we just never unstuck it was all. I noted the addy though on doc so I can find it easily when needed though now np.
Juls. ..What ya been smoking ? lol
Morti.. Yeah I kept doing that buit wouldn't work for Grant even. I did that with all of them even, some took right away some didn't though. Lot of use it is anyways for an admin to be locked out of such though when they can set access themselves lol.

Well, I don't know how to say this without looking like an #$%^$%^$%^&, but this isn't Lori's site, I don't think the rest of us need or care to see that thread, and there is a TON of sticky clutter in that forum, as Morti alluded to.
I think we'd all be better served to unsticky any boababe/Rachel threads. It's done for all the rest of us.

Jay, I learned a long time ago that my prefered Admin Role of "Redtailboa.net PeaceKeeper" (read "hippie" does not involve starting fights. I didn't make it sticky and I wasn't about to touch it without knowing if there was a good reason that it had been made such.
I am on an editing strike when it comes to anything involving that person. My theory is, some of the admins here chose their battle, they fought it, and they probably won... but when the people like me who are just tired of seeing it get #$%^$%^$%^$%^$%^$%^& off, it helps when my name is associated with it precisely NONE. That way I can convince them to stay with the site and that no, in reality, we have not become "like Kingsnake" or "like the Board of inquiry". I have had to run a lot of damage control in private e-mails, in chat, and IM. I am leaving that work to those that would shout at me if I did it.
-Morti.

Oh come on Morti...you can't keep riding the fence all the time. You will injure something that I'm sure you would rather not some day I don't think anyone here ever attacked her because of pure personal spite. Animals were suffering and dying because of her stupid pride. (wow I like this private forum thing where only admins and mods can see...kinda cool to be able to speak your mind) but I know you and some others had some damage control to tend with...I did too. But I also got a lot of supportive email too. The ones that were defending her quickly switched sides with a minimal of explination. But I'm sorry it all went public. I thought it was all going to stay email based but SHE started posting "oh whoa is me" posts looking for sympathy from people who didn't know what was going on....so since she made it public...I think others involved, myself included were forced to tell or tales much to the delight of some and dismay of others. Noone won...noone ever wins crap like that. All we managed to do really was drive her away from here and on to other unsuspecting victoms. When she changes her ways and stops doing what she is doing...then we can claim victory otherwise, the animals are still suffering because of her...just not here under our watch. I didn't really want her to go away. I wanted her to stay but learn some ethics.
anyway... there is a point I was trying to get to and a reason other than BB I hit reply. There is really no need to book mark or sticky up topics like that unless they are meant for everyone to easy access. If it is for personal reference...simply click in the very top left corner of your browser where it says "file" and you can save the entire page to your harddrive in html format and can reference it anytime you want graphics and all without even being online.

Water under the bridge. It happened in the past and I can't go back and change the past. The scars will heal and the blight will disappear. How I handled the situation when it was happening was I took a couple of months off and posted nothing. I am not going to do that again in the future.
I do understand the situation and I understand why everyone felt that this dirty laundry was made public, but I do not now feel and I have never felt that redtailboa.net is the place for it. I didn't like it then, I don't like it now, and I won't like it if it happens again. I am not taking sides in the fight, but I regret not having taken a harder stance at the time, regardless of who I would have #$%^$%^$%^$%^$%^$%^& off. The reason I left at the time was because I would have locked down every thread that got out of hand, deleted half of them, and raised absolute #$%^$%^$%^$%^& in private with anyone that didn't like it. I stoped posting to aviod alienating my friends.
Brett, I ride the fence because I don't have a dog in the fight and I really don't care to see the fight. I value your friendship too much to take action on my oppinion. This is the first time I have really made it as clear as possible what my oppinion is about the BoaBabe situation. My Oppinion is, I don't care what happens, as long as it doesn't happen here.
-Donnie

J Riley.. FYI.. Shane aka Natas is the owner of this site known as RTB. Nothing hidden about that at all to my knowledge.
The stuck topics on Just Talk atm were placed there by Shane , natas, and it was
his request that they stay stuck also. There are quite a few of them no doubt . Would suggest speaking with Shane prior to removing them though or such.
ANYWAYS.. Back to .. Ya have fun with rainbows Morti ? lol think that one had a ton, like 108 posts threads in it even..UGH.

ok Donnie....so when someone is found and proven to be a fraud, liar and theif and using this site to gather victoms...better to just not expose them and let it keep happening so that we can appear as happy happy joy joy land? I disagree. I too value your friendship...at least enough to tell you if you are about to step in quicksand. I tried everything I could to keep it email....I way would rather she had been open to criticism and changed her attitude but it didn't work that way and it spilled into here. Honestly...her exposure for what she really is, since she sees no need to change, however sour to the palet of some it may be is in my opinion a public service announcement no different than that Jesse what's his name guy.
I too prefer to see RTB as a happy tight knit group. I don't think anyone likes to bicker..but unfortunatly to acheive such a thing...we have to weed the garden of eden now and then.

knowing both of you guys I have to say that I don't think that it is worth anybody getting upset over. I really think the whole thing dragged on for FARRRRRRR to long. I do understand that when you are attacked publicly, it is a natural response to defend yourself, whether you are right or not.
On one hand, damage control is one of the responsibilities that we as admins/mods have here at this site; on the other it would have been nice if someone had just banned the perp very early in the whole thing (but maybe this wasn't possible). Either way, at times, the whole thing came off like two school kids fighting for the spotlight, or the popular kids picking on the outsider (to the uninformed). I think we all know this was not the case, but BB was painfully wrong. When she did show back up it was not to add anything to the site, except turmoil. Some of us did the same.
We have all done wrong at some time or another, the difference is that a decent person re-evaluates and changes their behavior when they are wrong...the BB was not about to change anything.
There were not any winners in this, although I respect Donnies decision to stay "on the fence". There is no perfect world where everyone likes one another, or gets along. In the end that is what adds spice to life.
