EDB Eye Infection
Well, this Roundup Rescue has given me the unfortunate opportunity to get about EVERY common ailment in a very condensed time frame. Here is one of the small Eastern Diamondbacks. She shed 2 days before I noticed it so my first thought was a retained eyecap. I wet bagged her, no luck. So I tubed her to get a better look. I managed to clean most of the crud out of the corner of her eye, but I did not see a retained eyecap. Perhaps it is obscured by the massive infection We'll see what the vet says.

Looks like she has a good infection going on. You can see it in her nare too. Good luck, I'm sure you'll have this one patched up in no time.

Thats sad... that looks really bad. Do you think he will pull out of that with his sight in that eye?
btw... I get the tube to let you look at it, but how do you clean it out... you cant do that from inside the tube.. can you?

I can just picture someone trying to get a Q-tip to clean something while trying not to get bit.

It is pretty common to drill holes in the tubes for access to a tubed snake. I need to get another set of tubes so that I can drill holes in one and have one set in tact. Some people also attach hardware cloth to one end so that you can just tube the snake to the top and have access to the front of the face.

He is about to shed again. The infection is going down dramatically. The shed should about clear him up.
