Tiger snake

I saw the most awesome snake on that DVD I keep talking about. The only thing is, what they identified simply as a "tiger snake" is not what I am seeing on the net.
The one on the doc was bright orange with black tiger strips and cat eyes---man talk about drooling...what a gorgeous snake!!!
I can't seem to find any photos of anything that looks like it though. What keeps coming up is a dull olive looking snake.
Any ideas??

No I think those are the dull looking ones...
Now I found this of a hatchling....which is something like the one on the doc---but picture it MUCH brighter orange.....and much larger and more vivid:

When looking for info on any species, you will find that your search is less cluttered once you figure out the scientific name. If you do a google on "Telescopus semiannulatus semiannulatus " then you will find much fewer annoying unrelated or otherwise useless pages.

And YES , they are available in captivity, and not all that expensive.

but they can be picky feeders.

I havent seen them come in to the US in years, but there isnt much demand for them.

I used to see them on dealer lists for 20$ or less.
But that was quite some time ago.
