Venom Detergent

The other night I was watching the news and there is research going on to determin, how well some pit viper venom would work as a stain remover on clothes. The thinking on this is since most pit viper venom breaks down blood and tissue, that it would break apart blood and other natural stains in clothes.
Now I can just see the flip side of this. Next rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, and copperheads are going to be collectd for sources of detergent, depleating nature of the animals. Also i can imagine all the people that will try and take out the middleman and go catch the snakes themselves.
Makes for an interesting idea.

um.....

but it could also generate a renewed value and respect of venomous snakes as a important natural resource whos true value to human kind has yet to be fully understood or realized.

okay... I dont believe that.. but it sure sounds nice.

They have to synthesize it. It's not commercially viable otherwise. Venom has always been more of an R&D thing than an actual "put it into the real drug" thing, and I don't see that changing.

Best thing I have found for blood removal in laundry, is meat tenderizer.
Make a paste, apply, rub in, let sit for a short time then wash.
