A Sistrurus sized post
Here's some photos dedicated to my favorite native Pit viper. They are variable in color and some populations have specimens that exceed 25 inches in length!

Here's some from extreme southern Miami-Dade county found last July. There were found in Flamingo at Everglades National Park.








Then in August, I hit the jackpot and found this one road where the Pigmys get huge (no pun intended). August 2009, Hendry County, Florida.

Now on to North Florida. Many of these were found in Osceola National Forest from 2007-2009.

ONF, Columbia and Baker Counties, FL.

not to go off snake topic either but im in love with that picture of just down the road into the trees! awesome. cant get pictures like that here too many hills and curves and mountains, definatly in awe
