The All Mighty Eastern!
These guys are just top notch IMO! I've always wanted one of these guys! The Flash washed out all the yellow, I need a zoom lense!

Re: The All Mighty Eastern!
I've had a million atrox and never got a hold of an adamanteus, though I was very close to buying a 4 foot female once from a place in Georgia a decade ago. VERY pretty rattlers, I must say, and seemingly (someone correct me if I'm wrong) a smidgen more laid back than the atrox.

Depends on the individual. I know plenty of C. adamanteus that their sole intent is to kill you. But the same can be said with C. atrox as well.

Haha - this is no lie, of all the atrox I've had: ONE was semi-calm. The adamanteus that I was looking at in Georgia: she was very, very sedate in an 85 degree room, I was kind of shocked. I wouldn't doubt for a second that some of them are super hostile, though, thanks for your input.
Snakes are so weird like that, how sometimes you'll find copperheads (usually mellow) that are schizoid, meanwhile there are cases like the black mamba (usually homicidal) on Ray Hunter's page that is supposedly ridiculously "tame".

In my experience, Easterns are much calmer than Westerns. I have two groups of Rattlers born in 2002 and the C. atrox are still as aggressive as the day they were born... in contrast the C. durissus born the same time are good as gold.

Exactly. Not to be a total jerk but if that's what Ray told you, ask again!

Re: The All Mighty Eastern!
Ahh... This reminds me of the little girl my friend picked up at the last Columbia show. She lasted all of 3 days before passing away which makes me believe she was a stressed wild caught.

I've known two adamanteus...mine were way nicer than atrox I've known! Not pushovers though, and man, they grow fast and huge!

Re: The All Mighty Eastern!
I work with 4 of them. two of them are a little grumpy, one male thinks he's a ball python and one female will try to kill you. Which is just loads of fun because she's huge.
