From the far east...
Sakishima Habu (Protobothrops elegans) CB '09 female. The males currently in shed but is lemon yellow. These are endemic to the Ryukyu Islands off the coast of Japan. A beautiful, but rare species in the the US.
Okinawa Pit-Viper (Ovophis okinavensis) CB' 09 male. These are the nicest out of the Ovophis genus! Another rare and seldom seen species from the Ryukyu Islands off Japan.

Ah nice, Habu! I never thought I'd hear mention of them around here. In fact I think yours is the first I've seen in a US collection. I lived in Okinawa for a few years, and remember the Habu well. I never spotted any O. okinavensis though.
