she hoods in her cage everytime she sees someone walk by or anytime you go to get her out. Once shes out for a cage cleaning and in her rubbermaid tub shes just very curious and as long as you dont move very fast around her and spook her she doesnt hood up

Gorgeous snake, denial. Do you find them easier or harder to work with than other venomous snakes? Personally, I always considered monocleds WAY easier than a lot of other hots due to their seriously telegraphed movements and predictable strike range.

She is beautiful. Saw one at a show a while back that was still a baby 30 cm but tried (hooding) so hard to intimedate everybody.

To tell you truth when I first got her I thought it was going to be very hard to handle her on hooks and everything but she is only cage aggressive. Once you get her out of the cage she has no interest in you anymore unless you move really fast in front of her. I have seen her strike at me twice the whole time ive owned her. In my opinion I think there are many more hots out there that are far more dangerous and harder to work with then cobras. Cobras are pretty fast but I dont think they are that bad.
