Columbia Craziness!
Last weekend I made it up to Columbia, SC for the Repticon show. As always, it was a blast hanging out with friends and seeing some cool animals.
Some of the crew setting up our table. Dave, Adam, and Rob.
and all of us
Al Cortiz and Jared Watts. At least I wasn't the only Dolfan at the show!
Carolina Pigmy Rattlesnake (Sistrurus m. miliarius) Big ups to Kris B. for giving me this spectacular snake.
Mexican Cantil (Agkistrodon bilineatus) Another fine product of Dave's adult breeding group.
Brazilian Lancehead (Bothrops moojeni) CB '09. Finally have a mate now for my female.
and a shot of the female
I also got lucky yesterday and got another female PNG Taipan! I now have 1.2 and hope to have some babies next year if all goes well.
PNG Death Adder (Acanthophis laevis) CB '09. One of Al Coritz's babies from the August litter. What a gem!

According to FL law, they're double bagged and then placed into a box (wooden, plastic, etc) which is then locked shut.
For transportation in SC..a McDonald's cup is fine for smaller species

In the pic of the 4 guys the one on the left side of the screen looks alot like the guy that was on Animal Planet that was bitten in the stomach by a Cobra.

Re: Columbia Craziness!
Those are some stunning snakes. Loads of respect for hot owners... I dunno if I could do it. Maybe when I'm in my 70's and don't care if I die or not, lol. j/k
Congrats on the new snakes!

Re: Columbia Craziness!
I think Dave Weathers has gotten a couple of snakes from a friend of mine, key word being think, my memory is mostly shot these days. I'll be up in Columbia in March. I'm a little disappointed I missed this one, I heard there was a good crowd.

I was at this show. It was awesome even though I was behind the table most of the time.

It was a great crowd. Crowded... but in a good way. My step-daughter and I had a lot of fun... I remember seeing these guys too during our trip through the vernomous area.
See y'all in March.
