11 for 1 snake removal

I got a call last week for a snake removal. After a couple emails, she forwarded me a picture and it was a nice fat Copperhead. As John White pointed out, it is time for mammas to start birthin' them babies. So I went out on Sunday and found this chunker laid out on the upper portion of a retaining wall next to stairs. So basically she liked to bask chest level ..... not a good situation. She shed on Thursday night.

I told the home owner that we got her just in time because she looked very gravid. Tonight I found 10 of these bouncing baby lizard prickers.

they are so adorable! look at those little tails! i have always thought copperheads were one of prettiest venomous snakes.

So are they a release project? I don't know what you do in a situation like that.... Keep them? Adopt them out? Release?
