Why I don't keep Hots...

So last nite I am feeding all my guys and gals including my pride and joy 5 ft. Solomon Island Tree Boa. I am using 30 inch forceps to present the F/T mouse and I get it right up to her head. From the back of the enclosure, she lunges (a good 35 inches or so), completely bypassing the mouse at the end of the forceps and takes a nice chunk of my hand at the other end of the forceps!

I was reminded that I think I will stick with non-venomous. Just thought I would share.

Ya I think that's a good idea. I have so much repect for people who keep hots even though I wouldn't do it.
