Picture Request
Hey, I am doing a project in my Art class and was wondering if anyone could supply me with some pictures. We are doing a Cardboard Relief Project. Anyway, I was wondering if someone (Gregg) Could give me a few good pictures of Eyelash Vipers to use for this project.
It needs to be something similiar to this, http://www.kostich.com/yellow_eyelash_viper_02.jpg
Thanks!

Here you go...The yellow one is an 05 CB yearling and the last two green specimens were found along the Rio Tigre, on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica in May of 2006.

I know Anthony Caponetto [acreptiles.com] keeps them, and takes pretty fantastic pictures. You might try contacting him and asking if you can use them.

I really love these guys. I read their venom is not usually fatal to adult humans. Is that true?

Tell that to the 30 plus people killed every year in Costa Rica by eyelash vipers... They are very toxic and do cause fatalities...
People also think that Atheris are not deadly... It is becoming quite clear that they are very toxic and can easily kill a healthy adult human... Atheris are basicly arboreal Echis...
Any venomous species should be considered life threatening...
