Nice Bothrops ... but you have a Bothrops diporus on this pics ...in the present time we dont can classify subspecies on the neuwiedi Complex, all the subspecies had been categorized like species and in this time Bothrops neuwiedi paranaensis dont exist... this subspecies was agglutinated with Bothrops neuwiedi. check this page: http://biology.bangor.ac.uk/~bss166/...alinae2004.htm

And this durissus? you bought it in Europe or in South America ? because it shows a distinct standard ... cus in Europe and USA, they offer and commercialize durissus crossbred with different colors and say to be durissus terrificus, durissus collilineatus, durissus cascavella but we know that they are crossbred of durissus cumanensis and durissus durissus or some subspecies from Central America, pure durissus in Europe or USA is very rare ... But this durissus i think from Argentina ... durissus terrificus from Argentina but with distinct standard ...

Where are you from ?

Solenoglyph... thanks for posting here!

I don't think this is a Bothrops diporus, this snake comes from Misiones (Argentina), and there, there aren't Bothrops diporus, but Bothrops neuwiedi paranaensis (this ssp still belongs to B. neuwiedi complex!).

The rattlesnake is definately Crotalus durissus terrificus, because it's a WC from Santiago del Estero (Argentina).

Cheers!

Where are you from Martin ? Dont forget this question ... lol

But this Bothrops dont have similar standard with Bothrops neuwiedi this animal have a 100% standard diporus, look the Old Bothrops neuwiedi parananesis from Paraná Brazil now Bothrops neuwiedi ... some similarity ?

perhaps you have a hybrid Bothrops neuwiedi X Bothrops diporus however Bothrops neuwiedi certainly this is not...

Bothrops neuwiedi (Paraná Brazil ''Bothrops neuwiedi paranaensis'')
