LoL,stuning, please don't make me think, it hurts! They look like rattlers, correct? I don't think I will ever know the technical term for all the species out there. It just hurts to think that hard!

They aren't rattlesnakes. Bothrops ssp are new world lancehead vipers found in South America and Mexico...common names like fer-de-lance (bothrops asper) are not widely used with most of the bothrops species. So many look so much alike, common names just get confusing so to know what you have, it's one of those times when breaking out the latin is a must.

Sorry, I told you that my english is pretty bad, lol.
No, the last one isn't mine. A friend of mine bred a B. diporus X B. neuwiedi paranaensis and that's one of the babies.
The first (B. n. paranaensis), I have it since May of this year, and that B. alternatus since April '05.
Cheers,
Martin

They aren't rattlesnakes. They are pitvipers from South America (although there are Bothrops spp. in Central America too).
I prefer latin names, they avoid confussions, anyways, here are the common names:
Bothrops alternatus: Urutu Pitviper
Bothrops neuwiedi: Neuwied's lancehead
Bothrops diporus: Chaco lancehead
