Some pics from the latest Costa Rican trip..
Went down to the Osa Peninsula with good friend and fellow hot keeper, Matt Harris, of upstate NY. The trip was a huge success once again. Here are some of the hot's we found.
Eyelash Viper (Bothriechis schlegelli)
Locale: Rio Tigre highlands, Osa Peninsula

Here is the second Eyelash Viper that was found.

Refused, Costa Rica is a pretty safe country. San Jose is a hustle and bustle city. When we travel to Costa Rica, we just overnight in San Jose and take one of the Cessna planes down to the Osa Peninsula the following morning. Nightlife in San Jose is quite interesting..lots of bars, shops, and all kinds of vendors on the street. Some of the hazards beside venomous reptiles in the jungle, are the local drivers. Stop signs and red lights do not mean much at all.

Yea i had a few friends go down that way and said it wasnt a problem. The only concern i had was just walking around in a jungle with no exp. They didnt go out of the city much just went to party... I was born in MT and travled around the states, camped out for 3-4 weeks at a time, but again it was in the states.. where there is a McDonalds 10 min away no matter where you are. Anyways would like to see more pics if you had them

I absolutely LOVE Costa Rica! Went there last year with a group from our honors college and didn't want to come back...have still wanted to go back ever since then. Found one yellow eyelash viper i think was on the hike in the monteverde cloud forests. For more pics (no more herp pics though, as these aren't my pics from the trip) http://usfweb2.usf.edu/honors/costarica05_000.htm
(The image i tried didnt appear to work so i added an attachment to it)
