Pygmy Rattlesnake encounter
ran into one of these little fellas on the road yesterday, first time I'd ever seen one. It was sooooo adorable, charcoal color with gray splotches. I wanted to get something to put it in and bring it home and kiss it and love it and hug it and take pictures etc. etc., but by the time I had ran back and grabbed something out of the suburban to put it in I had already spooked it off the road (and the yapping dogs didn't help either, although I did manage to run those off so they wouldn't harass him...which needless to say the locals weren't too happy about even though their dogs would have been the ones to end up in critical condition). So I didn't get to bring him home but at least I did get him off the road because I know he would have gotten run over in a place like this. It's an encounter I'll never forget.

Sounds like fun!! They are so cute and tiny but I guess they do a lot of tissue damage for how tiny they are so never under estimate them. By far my favorite rattler but not my favorite hot
