False water Cobra
My local reptile shop just got one of these in and I know I am not ready for anything venomous and I probalaly never will be but I have become curious and have a few question.
1)How big do they grow?
2)What are there general temperment?
3)How deadly is the venom?
4) And are they from the cobra family or another type of elapid?
If anyone could anwser any of these questions i would be grateful.

they are very handable if you give it ALOT of respect. Mines like the nicest thing yet its feeding response can be EXTREMELEY nerve racking when puting the food in its cage. other wise 6-7 feet in general. Records around 10. Temperment are nippy as a young but tame as adults. Venom is comparable to a rattle snakes venom BUT can only release about 10 mg of venom when a rattlers going about 100mg. But agian, treat it respect like you would any other hot. Pretend its an acctual cobra

I have always been interested in this snake and have even considered getting one. But I would want to handle it. I have heard that the venom is not that bad, unless you have an allergic reaction to it.
