Elapids are very demanding creatures. If you stop respecting them for one second you got tagged!!! Plus concentration and thinking before doing is much needed when dealing with these beauties.

Hey Extreme,
How are your bushmasters doing? I have talked to Mr. Ripa a few times on these beauties. The price (for Now) is dealing me from getting one. That goes the same for King Cobras. I hope to get at least the kings by the end of the summer. I hope!!!

My Bushmaster is doing great. He eats every time and I am in the process of switching him to f/t. Hopefully I will be able to find him a mate next year. The bad thing is that Bushmasters don't reach sexual maturity until they are four years old. My male was born this year.
Oh well, at least I will have something to watch as it grows over the next four years.

i would like to see some pics in his new cage.
I did hear that about Bushys, but it is worth it at the end.

Nice collection biff. How is the temperment of your forest cobras? I have always liked them but I have heard too many horror stories about their attitude.

Yeah, every Forest Cobra I have worked with has bees a psychopath! Congrats on the eggs, Biff! There is nothing cuter than a baby cobra hatching, seeing you, and hooding an itty bitty hood

My male forest is fairly mild, he rarely ever hoods outside of his cage, although he is a hook climber.
The female is ridiculous...she is trapbox material only. The guy who I got her from said she is worse than any black mamba he knows of...I believe him...
although the nigricollis can be very tough to handle also, but they are much slower, yet stronger.
the eggs are due to hatch around mid july!!!
