Wow, that is sweet. How big do they get? What's their temperament like? I heard somewhere that they're small, but need large enclosures because of the sidewinding thing they do.

They are one of the smallest Crotalus. I have not seen much agression in them. I will say that in my experience, cerastes are the most difficult rattler to keep on a hook. And they are fast when they hit the ground! I think they stay less than about 2 feet, but I am not 100% sure off the top of my head. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img] Often they are very picky eaters as they are almost exclusively lizard eaters int he wild. My pair took pink pice pretty good, but spuratically. Sidewinders are definately one of the coolest rattlers! I just wish they got like 5 feet! [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img]
