do the snakes keep thier fangs throughout thier lifetime or are they shed and regrown? Also what happens if a snake breaks a fang?

They are shed on a regular basis and there is always a replacement right behind it.

fangs are shed often and are constantly replaced. This is why "defanging" a hot is a joke. It is not uncommon to open a venomous snake's mouth and see 3 or 4 fangs as the new ones will occasionally come in well before the old ones drop.

how did you get your post in before mine? Not fair! ...yah it is a lot like sharks. Check out a skull of a pitviper sometime and see the rows of new fangs lined up ready to drop. It's pretty cool. I have an EDB in my freezer with 3 full fangs.
