....... of getting a western hog nose. It would be my first snake but not my first reptile. My reasons for a hog nose other than their cute little faces is their small size. Does anyone have any advice about these snakes or anything I should know before getting one, ie viv size, lighting, humidity.

This thread is over 3 years old and hardly worthy of dredging up...but yes, technically hognosed snakes are mildly venomous. If you were a small toad, probably even deadly...but you aren't so they are harmless.
