She looks like Roadkill at the moment. But she should shed in the next few days. I am hoping for the best. There was another one in bad shape that a shed did wonders for.

The one I am referring to is actually a different snake. Massive health problems happened in about 5 snakes at the same time. It is a possibility that while they were kept with no heat, food or water, someof the pathogens were all but dormant. Now that I have them in optimal conditions, I have made the conditions optimal for the pathogens as well. It makes sense NOW.
At the moment, I am dealing with (all in some, a couple ailments in others) Stomatosis (mouth/fang infection), heat pit infection, eye infections (probably from past retained eyecaps), Resp. Infections, and bacterial ventral scale infections. Needless to say, I am not bored. I have dealt with each of these ailments in the past, but never the combinations I am seeing or on the scale I am working with. Thank goodness for a great herp vet and all that I have learned from MsTT over the years.
Given the conditions they were kept in and a list of unknowns, I had predicted a 25% mortality rate. We are still under that number, so that is a bit of good news. The bad news is that the individual snake that I posted a picture of with the eye infection, died. The gross necropsy points to septic bacterial infection. I am awaiting the final results for the full necropsy from the University of Georgia. I fear that one more may be lost, but I am hopeful against it. So far, the only losses have been the neonates. None of the adults have died. Keep your fingers crossed.

That is very sad, at least it had a bit of the good life before it died.
Good luck with the others bud.
