When 'altering' an animal, ask "how is this animal 'benefiting' from this"... no other question should be asked imo... I wouldnt clip a monitors nails, but I'll get my cat neutered.....? At face value that doesnt make sense....

Removing venom glands or 'fangs'.. is only about the keeper,.. it has nothing to do with the snake... therefore, NOT ACCEPTABLE... ....feel me? [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

sick, disgusting, cruel - anyone who buys one is simply providing a market for this horrendous practise. Unfortunately, there is not much that we can do. After all, people are still allowed to declaw cats. The only thing that we have come up with is to boycott the companies peddling these creatures. Now on occasion, almost every hot dealer will have a venomoid come in on a trade or something similar. I am focusing on the ones that seem to be actually sending the animals for the slaughter, not just acquiring them.

There are some email addresses too, just so there is no confusion. I am sure they love hearing from the public. If I am mistaken on any of these dealers, please let me know. But in reading the Venomous Classified every day, these names keep coming up.
