Nigerian Uro help!

I currently have 2 Nigerian Uromastyx. I've had one for over 3 years, and got another one about 2 months ago. They always got along and never fought, but recently my newer one hasn't been moving much and barely eats. He's getting a little on the skinny side too while my older one is actually quite fa. What should I do? Can anyone help me out?

Re: Nigerian Uro help!

I gave him a small bath and when I put him back into his tank he was walking around quite a bit. he would just walk in circles. I tried feeding him some romaine lettuce as well as apples, corn, carrots and squash but all he did was lick it, then shake his head violently. I left him alone for a while and he went back into the heat of the lamp and just sat there. On occasions he shakes a bit too, as if he has hiccups.

So basically, as a quick report, he's doing better but it's still not looking too too promising if yo know what I mean :S

Re: Nigerian Uro help!

Uros tend to be pushy, you need to seperate them for a bit and see if that gets them to eat. I have a Yellow Nigerian and the same thing happened when I put him in with my Mali. He got pushed around and the Mali wouldn't let him eat.

Re: Nigerian Uro help!

I breed Uros and have had same problem LOTS! I found if I put them in a Larger enclosure the problem goes away till they grow to accommodate the space.
They get territorial even though they might have gotten along great at one point it's just nature.
