Re: id
Looks as if that "turtle" could use a larger enclosure.

now that you have made the id......which was bang on i did some research. they are indeed rare. fom algeria. and man do they love heat. this guy will sit in 110 all day. we had gone to a snake show and in one section they kept reserved for rescues. my girlfriend was not leaving till she got it. thanks for the id. really apreciated.

Re: id
Always glad when I can be of assistance. I just wish I'd have come across it instead of you but I am sure it is in great hands.

Re: id
i really try to do my best. i spend about 3 hrs a night on the computer just learning about reptiles. i have been doing this for years. i never tire. i still have lots of questions. there were actually 2 of these uromastyx at the show. they were seperated because the lady said they did not get along at all. i bought an enclosure there and took him home free. i also picked up a baby suriname. gorgeous snake. i recently rescued a so called nasty burm which they were thinking about puting down. left him alone for a week or so and he is amazingly docile doesnt even hiss any more. he was a nasty bugger when i got him. its a shame that animals just get dumped like this.
