Uro feeding issues

Oh for crying out loud.

My Mali Uromastyx is a pain in my butt.

He wants to eat corn, peas, and tiny diced carrots. He does NOT want to eat anything leafy and green. No kale, no collards, no mustard, no anything.

He didn't eat for the first two months we had him, until we offered that mixed veggie medly. Now, he'll eat! But only that mixed veggie medly. He won't eat it with calcium powder in it. He'll only eat it warm.

Seriously, why on earth do these animals keep blundering into my life? And how do I get this rackafrackasniggafritzaritzen animal to eat something nutritious???

I've offered him greens again, and he came out of his hole, licked one, covered it in his substrate, and went back into his hole. >.<

And no - he is no longer on the substrate seen in the pic. That was the stuff he came with when I got him. (really old pic)

So we have a pea lover.....well at least that is green. So here we go. Try offerring only peas....with the pod. Also, all of the greens mentioned above.....have a strong taste.

Ideas, Rainbow Collard Greens....try giving him the veins (sneek in a few green parts in too Also, I know this might sound stupid...but balling up the greens into something that resembles the shape of a "pea" might just work.

My girl loves a Romaine mix, collard greens, BLUE BERRIES (she loves them), crickettes worms, peas, corn and seeds......I avoid too many insects or highly water saturated foods like the peas, corn and blueberries too much.

A Uro. is so easy to spoil, they need to think its the 2 year of the drought of the century... befor they will eat what you put in front of them!

P.s. = My Uro. Sweetie looks at me like I just pulled her tail first out of her log.......if I even think of giving her iceburg lettuce. go figure....
