Skin issues
My Uro was a rescue, and has a pretty impressive scar on it's back from a a lamp light being too close to it's basking spot.(Not a heat light, a regular bulb, like you have lighting your dining room or living room lamp)
yeah, the heat on the spot was hot enough, but the rest of the poor thing's cage was freezing, so for the few months these people had him, he stayed under the light. As a result, he has a giant scar. he also has some stuck shed going down half his head and neck.
Any suggestions? I've heard to put vitamin E concentrate on the scar, and any kind of olive/vegetable oil for the stuck shed.
Also, I'm hearing contradictory evidence regarding water for Uros. They're an egyptian lizard, and would only rarely have water available, but in my experience, fresh water constantly available doesn't -hurt-, and you never know when a bit of fresh water is just what the lizard ordered.
Any advice would be lovely.
(He's much chubbier now than he was in the pic, that pic was taken after he started recovering)

Or rather, much more congruently filled out. It's hard to tell that's he's laying as flat as possible in the pic... I forget that the pictures are far less three dimensional than my memory.

I wish I could have kicked their butts. But if I'd tried I wouldn't have gotten the lizard, you know?
He -was- the last herp they had though, they decided that "scaley things just aren't for us".
