Uro Diet?
Does a Uro require the same diet as a green iguana? I know they also enjoy bird seed what brand or seed? If you need a more in depth diet of green iguana let me know i'll throw it on here.

they have *basically* the same needs. for the bird seed, i just got parakeet or finch seed i think, with no sunflower seeds in it. he loooooved it. all the veggies are the same(leeafy greens, no iceburg or romaine). other veggies like squash and carrots are good. fruits - mine never really touched fruits, but every one is different.
The biggest debate about their diet is insects. i gave mine a superworm every now and then and he would go nuts for one. Some people say they can't have ANY insects at all, others say they're closer to bearded dragons with wanting insects all the time. So, I just gave mine the occasional insect and mostly fed him greens and seed.

I was thinking depending on size 1nce every 2 weeks (get snake food then) i'll feed a couple superworms.
Thanks for the info on birdseed i will certainly add it to his greens/veggies each day OR i will just keep a small bowl filled with some all the time.
Diddnt see it anywhere really stressed but NO humidity is good right? Maybe 1nce a month a short bath?

Uro diet
If you really want to get a good grasp on a uro diet, check out this website:
Deer Fern Farms Home Page: Uromastyx, Tortoises, Spinytailed Iguanas, Bengal Savannah cats
Deer Fern Farms Uromastyx Supplies,Reptile Supplies, UVB Bulbs, Vitamines
I have an egyptian uro and he's doing great. I feed him mixed veggies, mixed with Mazuri tortoise diet and dusted with Miner-al and Uromastyx dust. The first few years I had him I didn't use the Mazuri diet, but once I heard about it and started using it, he grew significantly. It's a staple of his diet now. Oh yeah, he also loves dandelion flowers. They are by far his favorite, especially when hand fed. They're also high in antioxidants, which is nice.
