If your talking about a mali uromastyx, it will need a basking spot around a 105 or even hotter,
may want to get a Uro persons opinion, I havent kept them in about 10 years, so I dont remember exactly how I had mine set up.

I've never kept any uros, so I'm not positive this info is correct, but THIS looks like a good place with a lot of great links and info. -Juggalo

I say 105-110 in the hot spot (away from food and hide box) and down too 95 in the cooler part (that's where I'd put the hide box) I don't have any but a good friend of mine breeds them and that's how he keeps them.

Go up to 120-130 on the basking spot, around 100 on the warm end, mid-80's on the cool end.
Don't use a basking spotlight that doesn't create a hotspot at least as large as the lizard's body. Might have to use two, depending on how far above the basking site the lamp is. Lizards will move off a basking site when their core temp is where they want it, and rapidly heating a small area on a medium-large sized lizard can cause thermal burns. (One light should do for a baby just fine, though.)
Here's a good site for more info: www.deerfernfarms.com
