I would like to trade my Uro for a Male ball python or Red Tail Boa.
This is what I know about this Uromastyx.
I think it is a female.
I have had her for about 9 mos.
she was a little under weight when I rescued her from the pet shop.
she has fattened up a lot and loves to eat she is very friendly.
I keep saying she cause if you sex Uro's like most lizards her femoral pores are small.
she is mostly brown and has some tint of green on her back.
If you are interested just let me know.
Sorry the Pics are horrible its my crappy lil camera. wvstephensfamily@charter.net

I will ship her and I have had her for about 9 months.
I only bought her because of the conditions she was living in Im more of a snake person
and I dont have a lot of time for lizards. but she is great she loves to be around people.
I have to say I have owned a lot of lizards over the years and these rival beardies as far
as personality go.

Yeah picky eater. He was just entanced by the female and didnt want to eat. he just started again. He's right at 3' not heavy he so far only eats live medium rats. Ive had him for over 2 yrs, since he was a baby. he used to eat frozen thawed. thena last lear he wen off feed longer than a normal winter and felt i had to jump start him with live, and since then he never took thawed again.

Just an FYI on the URO..If it has any coloring on it's back like green / yellow.. Then it is not a female BUT a male
AND.. URO's make great pets to keep.. Long as their not the Egypticus ones that is . Your right about the personality also. I keep both Uro and beardie , and the uro's have more personality I find too.

I agree Lori As hard as it is to belive that anything could have more personality than a beardie. My buddy Rich has a few Uros Mali and Egyptian. Yeah they Egyptians are less than plesant sometimes. Whenever i go over by him I always want to play with the uros. They are soo cool. Only reason I dont have some yet is that i dont want to support the petstore for them and get raped. Waiting to someone i know to get some or through adoptions. I want some bad.

UMm What type lighting is the URO being supplied with, if any ? The females do NOT have such coloring, only the males do. If the URO is NOT supplied with proper UVB lighting, then it will also have a lower degree of the coloring that appears as well. The abscence of the UVB lighting can also lead to other major health problems for the URO and also possibly even fatality too.
This is a male MALI-URO that never received the UVB lighting until I got him in here. Notice the large "bump" on his rear backside.. That's MBD.. Yet another problem associated with the lack of UVB lighting in lizards...
That's my son ANDREW with this guy. The MALI's are his favorite lizards.

Just a personal note...
Lori does NOT normally copyright her kids clothes, nor does she encourage the copyrighting of other kids with her name.....
