The play sand is just wash sand from Home Depot.
Going to walmart now to get the temp gauge.....thanks for all the replies!!
I ordered a gram scale to start weighing him/her.

if i keep hearing good things about the ones from wal mart i may have to buy one.
i want to get 2 so i can have one in my 2nd herp room and a spare one "just in case" haha.

I use the Fluker's digital Thermometers w/ Humidity gauges ... 0% humidity throughout the enclosure. I love them ... Found them at Petco, buy 1 get a 2nd one for 50% off. Someone accidently ordered 100 instead of 10 ! LOL

here is the thing the humidity should be lower, were you got the premium play sand? I understand you cooked your terrarium features but if the play sand is too thick and was slightly damp when you put it in this might be your problem. If this might be the case, try cooking the playsand.
