Re: Toilet Snakes
I voted maybe. I think it's quite possible that a smaller snake could find its way threw. That Video was disturbing Icicle!!!! I've pretty much always lived in the country, so all I ever dealt with was septic systems. Is the government really gonna just let out sewers rot out from beneath us????

Re: Toilet Snakes
No but that would be exactly what they should do. In my opinion of course. I have a feeling that animals hanging out in broken sewer lines is just asking for new diseases.

Re: Toilet Snakes
Do you realize how much money it would cost to replace all the damaged lines? or just to dig them up?

Re: Toilet Snakes
You never Offened me at all.
Besides I enjoy a good arguement.
That in itself is the problem, Most of the staff would lock a thread down just because of an arguement, even if two or more people are doing it in fun.
So I would like to say Lets argue about it, but for fear of having a great thread lock we can't.

Re: Toilet Snakes
Those sewers look like clay so that means they are decades old and probably on farm land, most city sewage systems use cast iron pipe and they don't decay and ware down like that.

Re: Toilet Snakes
I don't think an argument per se would be the reason for any lockdown of this thread or any other. It may perhaps be locked down because of a political argument seeming to be rearing its ugly and illegal head.
Anyway my opinion here is that all keepers of snakes should try to keep their snakes out of toilets, and that all governments should try to fix bad sewage systems.
I really like this thread, and I am sure we all like and respect the person who started it (Xeikeness) and I hope to see it around for a long time yet to come.
Thus spake the Peacemaker. (Weird name for a gun....!!!)
I hope I spelt "weird" correctly...I always have to be looking over my shoulder for Stargazer....

Re: Toilet Snakes
I've heard of snakes getting loose in apartment buildings and showing up in the neighbor's toilet since they're all connected. It's possible but probably only in very rare occasions and in confined spaces, such as apartments.

Snakes coming up through the toilet? Sure, why not? It happened in Snakes on a Plane, so it must be possible. lol

Re: Toilet Snakes
It happens more in apartments and town homes but happens in houses as well because snakes and most reptiles find ways to get into every tiny spot imaginable. Keep you reptiles properly locked up!

Re: Toilet Snakes
Last year I rescued a Boa out of someones (thankfully clean) toilet. This snake did not come through the house, I am pretty sure about that. This was in a complex with town houses.
