you too! lol
I think i'm going to stop down at a few hardware store tonight or tomorrow night to see what I can find for co2 canistors.
Also, has anyone heard of just putting them in a something like a ice cream bucket and sealing it so they suffocate. I've never done it but the previous owner of my burm did this. She said she didn't like watching them die. Do you think they would just go to sleep running out of air, or do you think it would be painfull and inhumane. I'm thinking painfull and inhumane. Any thoughts?

Thats a bad idea. If you are going to kill them you should do it quick and painlessly as possible.

Yeah I agree with Pork on that one Brent, I think that would be a bit inhumane. At least with CO2 they are breathing and it just makes them dizzy and lightheaded till they pass out.
Seeing how you really cant ASK anyone what the best way to die is, Ill vote for falling asleep..

Very simple. Just grab the rat by the tail and launch him into the cement floor in the garage. I don't really have to do that anymore since I got my snake off prekilled and on F/T. Frozen medium rats are $2.80 as opposed to live smalls that are $5+ and have to be killed.

CO2 or ice cream bucket... both are the same method: suffocation. CO2 is faster, though, and I would think more humane for it. But ethical questions are rarely easy to answer.
I rarely have to kill my own rats anymore, but when I do I seal them in a small tupperware with a bit of dry ice, which emits CO2: voila, cheap, easy CO2 chamber. The rats are out cold in a minute or so, and dead in a few more.
