Need some recomendations of tortoises

I have experience working with turtles and tortoises, im no newbie. I worked at a science center for 6 years. And i have alot of expirence with snakes and lizards. But i am thinking of getting one for my own collection and i need some ideas or which ones you guys enjoy working with and would reconmend. I'm thinking about a red footed tortoise or a wood turtle. I have tons of expirence with wood turtles and gopher tortoieses. But i dont know, I dont really know what my options are. Any advice would help; like on your fav speieces, secrets pertaining to their care, etc. Thanks.

You could look into Russian Tortoises. They don't get very big at all, and coming from a harsh climate, they are said to be quite hardy. The only downside is that just about every Russian Tortoise is WC. An interesting thing I read on the Agama International website, it says that their native climate is very similar to that of Minneapolis, MN. In theory, you could keep them outdoors year-round in Minneapolis. Perhaps this is what it would take to get them to produce CB Russian torts.
