a couple of questions

1. is there a size limit on eastern box turtles before you can buy or sell them?

2. what would you consider a fair price when buying an eastern box turtle?

Turtles under 4" can only be sold as being used in education or for scientific purposes.

I would not pay any more than like the $35-$50 range if buying them.
Why not check out adoptions and get one from there even???

35-50 bucks? really? wow! I bet I find 100 or so a year here LOL. Too bad they are illegal in Georgia to keep or sell.

HI,
Have had a few box turtles, It would be best for them if you built a turtle corral in the yard they don't do well in the house.Ive seen cinder blocks used with a covered side, best to read about outdoor animal husbandry..
really nice article in reptile mag this month.

I subscribe to a monthly edition and save quite a bit off the cover cost..
Another source is Abbott turtle farm in Fla,, they some how are able to sell them??? maybe a northern species not normally found in FLa doug
