John, I just saw this. He is certainly very cute indeed and I know you will know just how to take care of him, being an albino turtle, which seems like quite a burden to be born with considering their need for the sunlight. How is this managed?

The turtle isn't mine, it belongs to a friend and I really don't know how it's being raised. I believe that he is using filter sunlight and supplementing the turtles diet. In the wild eastern box turtles spend their lives on the forest floor under the canopy in the shade or in sunlight filtered by vegetation. They don't bask like most of our aquatic species.
