Toxicity of Bamboo to RESs

Does anyone know if bamboo is toxic to red eared sliders? We just set up a beautiful 120 gallon tank and put a couple bamboo shoots in the tank for some extra ambiance. Of course my turtle took a sizable chunk out of one of them already.

No it's not toxic to them... think of bamboo as a big grass, which is basically what it is. lol
