A person bought two turtles on vacation and was told they would no grow larger than hatchling size. The owner researched red ear sliders and learned that they will grow large and decided to sell them. They then found out that it was illegal to sell turtles in our state. The owner gave them to my wife and me. When my wife went to pick them up, she found out that they were kept in a small critter keeper with a little bit of water and no land. It was barely large enough for the turtles to turn around in. We set them up in an aquarium and they have grown a lot! I decided to take some pictures before we give them to a pond hobbiest in a few days.
