Help Hi I'm New Here! I have a question

Hi everyone I'm Prisilla!

I jsut bought the cutiest 3 toed box turtle off of craigslist.
I have a question, The man I bought him (DIRT) from had potting soil moist in the tank and he said to keep it moist and lights told me all about the lights
He also said to feed him meal worms, fruits and veggies. While last night I was digging around in the soil making sure everything was really moist and I found BIG RED WORMS long too. Should I keep them in there? I started to think about DIRTY JOBS and worms eat everything and make more soil. So would it be a good idea to keep them in there?

Any info would help
Prisilla

Re: Hi I'm New Here! I have a question

When you say "BIG RED WORMS" are you talking earthworm type?
If so yes leave them, Boxie species love worms.
I include Night Crawlers as part of the diet for mine.
You can also try Silkworms as part of the protein for your Three Toe. I have found that Three Toes tend to go more toward veggies and fruits as adults but still like chasing a cricket on occasion.
