Are you going to cage your chicks with your turtles? I'm assuming by "chicks" you mean baby chickens and not the kinda chicks most people don't buy but just pick up in bars...If it's the latter, you will need to check your local laws in whatever country you live in. If it's the US, you are going to jail.
Chickens are pretty nasty. I wouldn't want my turtles (if I had any) eating chicken poop. I don't think they will attack each other or anything...but the parasital poop issue would bother me enough to keep them seperated.

No, it's not safe.
.
It's a completely wrong thing to try.. and it's likely the chickens would peck the eyes out of your turtles if given the chance.
.
Don't do it.

I've never seen a chicken attack a turtle outside...Not saying it doesn't happen. It probably has somewhere at some time...I guess what I'm wondering is ...how do you keep your tortoises and turtles? roaming around a fenced yard? How are you going to keep your chicks? In an undisclosed apartment billed to a PO box like most guys or free roaming?

Being raised on a farm I can tell you theses guys are absolutely 100% on the money correct.
Chickens will harm the turtles and eventually your health to. Chickens go for shiny things so your turtles eyes won't be safe. Feather dust can cause lung cancer. Chicken dirt is diseased and parasitic.

You had a answer from Gus before this post. Read up. By the way, wouldn't your landlord get pretty upset about chicken poo all over the place?

Do you have turtles or tortoises? Large chickens will harm small turtles or tortoises, and large turtles in particular, will harm small chickens or other birds - at least, my turtles used to lie in wait for the pigeons to come and just try once to drink from their pond. Quite a few poor unsuspecting pigeons have been snapped up, dragged underwater and half eaten by my turtles...that was before I provided the pigeons with lots of other sources of water.
Actually this was quite horrifying, and I looked with some disgust at my turtles for some time after these incidents......
