Cool pics, and yes, I hope you have a large pond for it later on.
We had one show up at my bodyshop a couple of years ago, put it in an aquarium in the office. One day a guy comes in, you know one of those "regulars" that has no real reason for showing up. Anyway, he says "whats in the tank" and reaches in for some reason, and starts yelling bloody murder!!! Pulls his hand out with the little bugger hangin on for dear life!!!! I was the funniest thing I had seen in a LONG time... Anyway, all was well in the end, and it is probably still in the pond out back.

That looks like an alligator snapper to me and some states have laws against harvesting them but i don't know about keeping them as pets and i got this from Wikipedia It is protected from collection through much of its range. The IUCN lists it as a threatened species, and as of June 14, 2006 it will be afforded some international protection and be listed as a CITES III species, which will put limits on exportation from the United States. Hey if its not an alligator cool but if it is be careful

its not an alligator,i put it on here before to find out and everyone said it was a common,im waiting for the day he bites too.i know its gonna hurt after he gets a little bigger my fingers wont be going near his head
