Warm Weather Turtle +ing
Its nice to see the warm weather everything is comeing to life, anyway my first turtle +ing the road to get to the other side. I always help them to the other side?? lol

I thought a painter but I dont know my turtles and I didnt turn it over I heard they dont like that? if that is even how you tell ???LOL

That's a painted turtle.  Looks to be eastern, but it could also be a midland painted or possibly western, or southern.. I'd have to have my hands on it to tell LOL.... And it's VERY easy to tell the difference between a Red-Eared slider and a Painted.
Red-Eared... Trachemys scripta
Painted... Chrysemys picta

Yep... and the coloration of them, too. Painteds are usually black to dark olive green/brown... and red-eareds usually green with tons of yellow.
LOL... cause I'm the turtle lady! I been keepin' turtles for over 12 years!

I really prefer the colors on the red ears better...just the pattern and shell coloration...However I wouldnt turn down a painted if it was handed to me  Which ones do you like Ad?
