I am using a UVA spot for my reeve's basking area. Do I need a UVB as well? He is about 2.5'' in a 30 x 12 tank in 2.5 '' of water.

Never mind, I just read much of the website posted by Melissa Kaplan pertaining to light. So what is the best kind of light bulb? Should I replace the bulb in the basking lamp with a UVB or do I need a flourescent tube to go at the top of the tank? Thanks.

Most species of turtle are sun loving animals even my snapper which is totally aquatic loves the sun, he will float on the surface to absorbe the sun or the light from the Reptisun 5.0 above his tank.
