Turtle enclosure

I have a question.
Many semi-aquatic turtle enclosures i have seen have a peice of glass at a slant in the middle of it to make it a 50/50 tank.
What would i use to seal the fitted peice of glass into a glass aquarium??
I went to home depot and they had nothing that was 'not toxic to animals'.
I would really appreciate any info, especially if anyone has any personal experience! Thanks.

What is generally used is just called aquarium sealant, and it should be sold by any store that sells fish. I've even seen small tubes of it for sale in the pet section of Walmart. Most household silicones won't be strong enough to hold water - I've tried several. Most do become non-toxic once dry though. Its just the drying process which can give off nasty fumes for several days or more. I got this industrial GE brand silicone once, it took like 3 weeks to dry. Smelled horrible, and didn't even hold.
