Looking for healthy bcc (surinam/guyana)
Hi,
I am looking to buy my first boa. Can I get a list of a couple breeders that sell high qualiy captive bred bcc.
I am looking for a suriname, guyana, or perhaps peruvian.
My original idea was to get a common bci...but I didnt know they lose their nice color as adults.
Thank you

Re: Looking for healthy bcc (surinam/guyana)
Here is a list of breeder I trust that sell healthy CBB BCC babies.
Casey & Darla Hulse. These two are friends of mine. They sometimes have Surinames for sale.
Natures Spirit Reptiles --- Welcome To www.nsreptiles.com
Bob Futo is also a friend of mine.
I have bought from Bob before and he has some of the best Surinames around just e-mail him or call him to see what he has. Most of the big time breeder Suriname stock came from Bob to begein with.
bfconstrictors@sbcglobal.net
These are breeders that I have talked to but never bought from yet but I would trust them. I will buy form them in the future.
Gus Rentfro: Gus has some of the nice looking boa around.
Welcome Rio Bravo Reptiles
Barry Miller: Barry also has some very nice looking boas.
http://www.millerreptiles.com
Vince Russo
Cutting Edge Herpetological, Inc.
Jeff Ronne: Jeff is a very nice easy going guy and he really loves boas too.
The Boaphile !
Home They sometimes will have BCC for sale.
Com.org - Only the best links ...
Bill Cagle may have some BCC for sale. I belive he has a website but I can't find it right now.
stacyandbill@aol.com
Not all BCI looses there colors as adults. Here are a few of my adults that still have good color to them.
You just have to pick out the good looking babies when you are buying them.
This female is over 6 foot long.
This male is 6 foot long.
This female is over 6 feet long.
This female is over 6 feet long.
This female is 15 year old and all most 10 feet long.
Take care
Tom

Tom failed to mention that HE breeds boas too....
I DEFINITELY agree on what he said though...Barry Miller, Gus Rentfro, Bob Futo, they are some of the TOP breeders as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah I tried contacting him, but didnt get a reply. I also unfortunatly found out his website is not up to date....I emailed him about a female I liked....then found on this forum someone had bought that snake almost a month ago.

Yeah, thats the one I wanted!
Oh well, I've decided to give one of these nice female BCI's a shot....I think their coloration is good enough that it will hold up through adulthood.
This snake will also give me good husbandry experience for boas....this is my first boa. I've kept ball pythons....but I hear boas are a little different! From what I gather the BCI's are a bit more tolerant and thrive easier than the BCC.
I will be placing my order tomorrow...I'll post some pics when I get her.
